VIRTERA, a virtualization professional services and consulting firm, announced that it was awarded two first place show finishes from SYS-CON Events for its Virtual Desktop Financial Calculator and its Virtualization Infrastructure Platform Qualification (VIPQ) solution for the Pharmaceutical industry. SYS-CON Events offered all delegates at the 5th International Virtualization Conference & Expo 2009 East in New York, NY, the opportunity to cast their vote for their favorite virtualization technology provider in four competitive categories:

VIRTERA received its first award in the category "Best Greener IT Product" for its virtual desktop financial calculator which assists clients in understanding the cash flow related to virtualized desktop environments. The calculator provides full assumption and calculation transparency as well as a report on the financial impact of any selected solution across periods between 36 to 60 months. The second award "Best Server Virtualization Solution" recognized VIRTERA for its solution in designing and architecting virtual infrastructure platforms in the highly regulated Pharmaceutical and Biotechnology industries.
